Some people have the impression that anyone can take beautiful photos. However, this is an art just like other one and it requires talent and a certain degree of specialized knowledge. What's even more interesting is that photos can then be used to create original and unique pieces, such as these wonderful pillows.

The East Camp Home pillows introduce the idea of art as an everyday object. The pillow collection feature photographs taken by Valerie Shaff. There are two collections. One of them is called Exotics and includes photos of animals such as tigers, crocodiles, peacocks, rhinoceros, zebras, macaws and African crested cranes. The second collection is called Fables. This one features photos of doves, snakes, owls, crows, bunnies, hawks and horses. There doesn't seem to be a clear criteria for delimitating the animal choices for these collection.

One thing is certain: the photos are amazing. The are very beautiful and the fact that are real pictures taken by someone is even more amazing. The idea of turning these photos into colorful pillows was ingenious and very clever, It allows us to have a taste of real art in our everyday life. Since pillows are very common and very practical accessories for the home, the idea was also very well received by the public. Since there are big differences between photo paper and linen, there are differences in texture and in the way the user relates to the images. This is art that you can squeeze and rest on head on.
