Outdoors equipment and clothes retailer GO Outdoors has launched a mobile loyalty scheme for its discount card holders. It's the first smartphone-based loyalty scheme to be launched nationally, according to the company, and enables customers to redeem exclusive deals at the POS using their iPhone.
Powered by Mobilize Systems, the scheme required the bringing together of mobile phone technology, terminal and EPOS payment systems.
"We are making shopping smarter and easier for the consumer," says Claes Kockum, commercial director of Mobilize Systems. "The ability to receive and redeem offers through the phone changes the way we shop and interact with our favourite stores. GO Outdoors is the first nationwide retailer to realise the potential of fully Mobilized loyalty, and has been the perfect, enthusiastic partner to bring the first programme to the UK high street."
