A new way of cutting up records

Danish artists Vinyl Terror and Horror recently spent some time at EMS, the Swedish national centre for electronic music and sound art. The result is the perfect collaboration between artists and engineers.

Using a CNC mill to precisely cut parts from different records allows the artist to re-assemble the recordings in a physical representation of the remix process. Check out the results of their experiments on their Vimeo channel.
